Criterion 4: Water Management
Regarding Criterion 4, which focuses on water management, reduction of usage, storage enhancement, recycling, and minimizing waste, the College of Science has implemented several initiatives to improve water efficiency and conservation.
The college relies on modern water management technologies, including smart faucets and self-cleaning systems, which significantly reduce water consumption compared to traditional equipment. Older water fixtures have been replaced with efficient models in faculty and staff facilities to ensure responsible water use.
For irrigation and green spaces within the campus, the college employs drip irrigation systems to minimize water loss and maximize the efficient use of available water resources, aligning with environmental sustainability practices.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the College of Science also established multiple handwashing and sanitation stations across the campus and provided similar facilities to several governmental institutions, contributing to public health efforts while promoting responsible water use during high sanitation demand periods.
