Swiss Albino.

Parasitic infections of some rodent species in the province in the study of a student in the Faculty of Science

The study was conducted by the student Morteza Ahmed Mortada under the title of a comparative study epidemiological and molecular of the parasitic infections of some rodents in the province of Diwaniyah under the supervision of A – M – d. Habib and Selle … The study examined the external parasites And the interior that affects rodents. The study was conducted on four districts in Diwaniyah Governorate (Diwaniyah district, Nahia district, Hamza district, and Shafei district) during the period from November 2016 to 2017. The Mus musculus, 37 samples of the Norwegian rat Rattus norvegicus, 48 Rattus rattus rat, and 46 samples of laboratory rat Swiss Albino.

During the course of the research in the study prepared by the student showed the results of the examination of the eye and microscopy of the existence of 12 species of parasites, including three types of parasites and the two types of parasitic and seven types of worms.

The external parasites included Ornithonyssus bacoti in the black rat, Norwegian rat and laboratory rat with 41.6%, 29.7% and 8.6% respectively, Myobia musculi in the domestic mouse with 35.9% and Polyplax spinulosa in laboratory rats with 52.1 %.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa were treated with Eimeria spp. In the domestic mouse, the black rat, the Norwegian rat and the laboratory rat by 23.5%, 22.9%, 43.2%, 19.5% respectively, and the cryptosporidium muris in the domestic mouse, the black rat, the Norwegian rat and the laboratory rat by 3.3%, 8.3%, 8.1% and 2.1% % Respectively. The study, which was attended by Dr. Nabil Abdel-Redha, Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Qadisiyah, concluded that there was no significant effect between the severity of the external parasites and the sex of rodents and their weight.

No significant differences were found between worm severity and rodent sex. No significant differences were found between the severity of worms, the weight of domestic mice and laboratory rats, and the presence of intestinal differences between worm severity and black and Norwegian rat weight at P00.05.

The study also showed the presence of specific disease changes in the infected rodents, including skin changes such as inflammation, wounds, redness and irritation due to severe itching of the skin in infected rodents. As seen in the infected intestines the presence of the pathological changes such as redness, obstruction and swelling caused by parasitic worms. The results of microscopic histological changes in the affected intestines showed the occurrence of shortness of the flies and the occurrence of cases of vasoconstriction, necrosis of the muscle layers and inflammation of the inflammatory cells. The study was attended by a number of teachers and graduate and primary students
