👁️ Department Vision:

1. Activating activities and projects related to current community problems, such as desertification and excessive waste accumulation, by formulating plans to address these issues in cooperation with various state institutions, including planting high-heat and drought-tolerant plants to create green oases, as well as establishing sanitary landfills.

2. Overcoming some of the country’s environmental challenges through conducting field experimental research that contributes to eliminating such problems, such as finding solutions for desalting agricultural drainage water in the governorate to reuse it in irrigation.

• Focusing on the environment and human health while relentlessly striving to eliminate pollutants to achieve a clean, pollution-free environment.
• Solving environmental problems relevant to society’s reality and current conditions, including desertification, activating related activities and projects, finding appropriate solutions, and developing plans to establish sanitary landfills managed by state institutions in the governorate.
• Raising awareness among researchers regarding the importance of seminars, training courses, evaluative and guidance meetings, and workshops to gain practical applications and information within frameworks supporting the national environmental protection and improvement project.
• Training all sectors of society, particularly employees in state institutions, on problem-solving methodologies for pollution issues and proper disposal methods.
• Organizing exhibitions highlighting the impacts of environmental pollution in the governorate.
